Can we reorganize the Chandigarh Sector and make it what it was intended to be? a Neighbourhood unit or A MOHALLA (A close knit community)!
Can we achieve a more interactive, socially inclusive, healthy & livable environment for the citizens within a sector by redesigning its open spaces?
How can such a change be brought in an existing public space?
The above issues were addressed in the Ideas Competition- Re-organising the Building Block of Corbusian legacy: from Sector to Neighbourhood initiated and organized by Act! Chandigarh in partnership with CSCL (Chandigarh Smart City Limited) with the support of Chandigarh Administration. A sector is the primary building block of Chandigarh city as designed Le Corbusier. The competition focused on Sector-22 and Sector-35
